McAfee Selects Gilroy for next stage of social media programme

Refreshed blog will sit at the heart of a global thought leadership strategy for McAfee Endpoint protection

After a hugely successful quarter, which saw the Gilroy team deploy an effective global digital media plan, traffic levels to McAfee’s Endpoint Protection blog have increased significantly – indeed, returning user levels grew by 300%.

As a result, and following a period of consultation, Gilroy has been selected to deliver the next stage of evolution of McAfee’s Endpoint social media programme. Gilroy’s appointment follows analysis of in-depth reporting on the site’s analytics, web traffic, user journeys and technical functionality (including meta tagging, SEO and search engine indexing).

The next stage will see Gilroy refresh the Endpoint security blog, including consolidation of topic areas. This ensures that visitors will be able to access high-value content, and perspectives from industry opinion formers, in the least number of clicks.

The site’s design will be further upgraded to improve the user experience and to help McAfee cross promote products and drive sales. The blog is the perfect online infrastructure to support a global user base, with the objective of opening up customer dialogue, driving conversations and responding to queries in real time.

Looking ahead, Gilroy will continue to provide design and technical support for the site, as well as strategic guidance on social media best practices. The redesign will be backed up with a programme of traffic generating activities, including EDM, media placements and advertising through the Google Ad network.
